Friday’s Best WNBA Picks & Bets: Mystics vs. Lynx

Odds courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook | All bets are for 1 unit

    Washington Mystics (+410) at Minnesota Lynx (-590) | O/U 157.5 (-108/-112

The Mystics (13-16) and Lynx (25-6) get together at Target Center in Minneapolis, and we have two teams going in opposite directions.

Washington parted ways with Aaliyah Edwards, shipping her to the Connecticut Sun, while acquiring Jacy Sheldon. She isn’t expected to be ready for Friday, so Washington will be shorthanded. They also shipped Brittney Sykes to Seattle for Alysha Clark and Zia Cooke, as the Mystics are in full rebuild mode.

The Lynx will be without Napheesa Collier, as she is dealing with a multi-week ankle injury. It will be up to the likes of Kayla McBride (14.8 points per game, 3.4 assists per game, 2.5 rebounds per game) and Courtney Williams (13.9 points per game, 6.4 assists per game, 5.0 rebounds per game, 1.4 steals per game) to fill the void, and then some. DiJonai Carrington also should help the team in just her second game since coming over in a trade from the Wings.

Washington has dropped three in a row, while going 2-6 SU in the past eight games. The Mystics are also 2-6 ATS in the same eight-game span, while cashing low in four of the past six outings.

Minnesota is a little tougher to handicap without Collier, but the Lynx have still won three in a row, while going 7-1 SU in the past eight games. They are 6-1-1 ATS in the eight-game span, too, while cashing the over in six straight, and nine of the past 10 games.

Let’s back the Lynx to get the job done, while going high on the total based on Minnesota’s trends.

    Picks: Lynx -10.5 (-112) & Over 157.5 Points (-110)
