Thursday’s Best NBA Finals PrizePicks Player Predictions
This Season: 38-37
First of all, PrizePicks is currently offering a deal for tonight's game. You can only use the promotion once, but they list Nikola Jokic's over for points at 0.5. So make sure to run over and grab that prior to tipoff.
While that promotion is a lock, we're also going to include Jokic's over for points, rebounds and assists. Jokic had three triple-doubles against the Lakers, and in each of those games, he easily cleared this number. Against the Suns, he went over this number five times.
The Heat are a tough team that will surely have a plan for Jokic tonight. But they also only had two days to plan for him. Until someone proves they can stop Jokic, we think his over should be taken every game.
Oddsmakers have finally gotten a bit carried away with Caleb Martin's points total. He was phenomenal in the series against the Celtics, scoring 21 points in Game 6, and 26 points in the deciding Game 7. He only scored fewer than 16 points in two of the seven games against Boston. However, this is a new series, and we don’t expect Martin to have the same success against Denver.
Against the Knicks, Martin went for 16 or more points just once, while against the Bucks, he did not clear 16 points at all in the five-game series. He has the hot hand right now, but it’s also possible he was just playing confidently against Boston. Look for him to revert to his normal self in Game 1.
After missing Game 5 against the Celtics, Gave Vincent failed to produce at a very high level in Hames 6 and 7. He scored a combined 25 points and dished out just four assists. Yet, before his injury, he had been very good. In three of the first four games, Vincent exceeded this total, and in two of those contests, he cleared this number with just his points.
Vincent has been inconsistent this postseason. Against the Knicks, he scored 20 or more in the first two games, then didn't hit double digits again for the rest of the series. But if he continues to play between 35 and 41 minutes, there is no reason he should not hit this number tonight.
