Milwaukee Bucks (-132) at Dallas Mavericks (+112) | O/U 231.5 (-110/-110)
The Bucks (6-4) open a quick two-game road trip against the Mavericks (3-7) at American Airlines Center in Dallas.
Milwaukee has been on a bit of a roller coaster ride, alternating losses and wins in each of the past six games since Oct. 30. It lost 122-115 last time out against the Houston Rockets at the Fiserv Forum on Sunday, and now it faces the quick turnaround in the Metroplex. The Bucks are just 1-4 against the spread (ATS) in the past five games, while the Over (232) cashed Sunday, snapping a 3-game Under run. The last time Milwaukee played on no rest, it was roughed up 128-100 at Toronto last Tuesday, and the 100 points scored marked a season low.
The Mavs picked up a 111-105 win at Washington on Saturday, cashing as a 4.5-point favorite while the Under (234) connected. This will be the third game in four days for Dallas. The win against the Wizards halted a 4-game losing streak, and Dallas is just 2-4 ATS in the past six games since the cover in D.C. The Under has cashed in four straight games, while going 6-1 in the past seven outings.
Looking to the series results, Milwaukee has won six in a row in the series, while going 5-0-1 ATS in the span. That’s what we’re going to go with and,the Over is 3-1 in the past four meetings, and 5-2 across the past seven. So, let’s go high on the total, too.
Picks: Bucks -2 (-110) & Over 231.5 Points (-110)
Atlanta Hawks (+142) at LA Clippers (-168) | O/U 222.5 (-110/-110)
The Hawks (5-5) meet the Clippers (3-6) at Intuit Dome. Atlanta is looking to turn things around in this series, as Los Angeles swept the regular-season series in 2024-25, while covering both meetings. In fact, the Clippers won both meetings by 23 or more points, good for an average margin of victory of 24.5 points per game (PPG). LA is 4-1 SU/ATS in the past five in the series, too. The Under is 5-2-1 in the past eight meetings.
The Hawks roughed up the Los Angeles Lakers on Saturday, and now they kick off a four-game Western Conference trip on Monday. The Hawks are just 3-5 ATS in the past eight games, and 1-1 SU/ATS vs. Western Conference teams, while the Under is 2-0 in those games.
For the Clippers, they’ve dropped four in a row, getting swept in a home-and-home against the Phoenix Suns. The Clippers have failed to cover the past seven games, and the Under cashed in both of the losses to the Suns. Against the Eastern Conference, the Clips are lost 120-119 as a 7.5-point favorite at home Nov. 3 as the Over (227) cashed, their only game against the East this season.
It’s tempting to take the Hawks straight up, and if you’re adventurous, go for it! Let’s play it a little conservative, though, and back the visitors catching the points. Additionally, we’ll go Over, since the Clippers have allowed 114 or more points in each of the past five games, and the Hawks have allowed 107 or more points in nine of 10 games. Let’s go high on the total in Los Angeles.
Picks: Hawks +4.5 (-110) & Over 222.5 Points (-110)
