Sunday’s Best NBA Picks & Predictions

Brooklyn Nets vs. Memphis Grizzlies

The Nets (11-24) were not expected to be competitive this season, and they haven't been. They come into this game having lost five of their last six games, including their last one on Friday, 121-105 to the Los Angeles Clippers. Four players are listed as out for the game, including the Nets’ leading scorer, Michael Porter Jr.

As for the Grizzlies (16-22), Memphis has been struggling as well, losing six of its last seven. But they gave Oklahoma City a solid fight on Friday, losing by one point, 117-116, and beat the Spurs by one point last Tuesday. Like the Nets, they have four players out as well, including Ja Morant and Zach Edey.

Both teams have injury issues, but with the Nets choosing to give Porter the day off to rest, it seems as if Brooklyn is throwing in the towel before the game even starts.

Pick: Memphis -7 (-110 at Caesars Sportsbook)

Philadelphia 76ers vs. Toronto Raptors

When things are going right for the 76ers, they are a tough team to beat. Lately, things have been going right; they've won five of their last six. Joel Embiid is the only player on the injured list (GTD) heading into this game, and he's expected to play. As for Toronto, the Raptors lost their last time out on Friday to the Celtics (125-117) but had won five of their previous six.

However, the Raptors are dealing with several injuries. RJ Barrett and Jakob Poeltl are out, and Scottie Barnes and Brandon Ingram are game-time decisions.

At full strength, the Raptors would probably give the 76ers a solid fight, but they will be down at least two key players. When healthy, the 76ers are one of the best teams in the game. They'll have no problem covering the spread.

Pick: Philadelphia -4 (-114 at FanDuel Sportsbook)

Atlanta Hawks vs. Golden State Warriors

After losing seven in a row in late December, the Hawks won four of their last six, dropping back-to-back games to Toronto before beating New Orleans (117-100) and Denver (110-87). But the Pelicans are struggling, and the Nuggets aren't the same team without Nikola Jokic.

Golden State opened the new year with a dominant 131-94 loss to Oklahoma City, but bounced back to win three of their last four games, including a dominant 137-103 win against Sacramento on Friday

Here we have two teams that like to play an up-tempo style, and both are dealing with injuries that will make them vulnerable. This will be an exciting, high-scoring game that will come down to the end. Who will win? That's a good question, but the final score will go over its projected total.

Pick: Over 234.5 Points (-114 at FanDuel Sportsbook)
