The Pacers have a 2-0 series lead as they head back home. They are in a scenario where they could make sure this series does not go back to New York City, and they could get to their first NBA Finals since 2000. The Knicks will not go quietly, as they have been competitive in both games. We’ll look at some players in this matchup who could have an impact on how this series plays out. (Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)
Mitchell Robinson 9+ Rebounds (-135)
Mitchell Robinson has done well in the role the Knicks have asked of him. He's come in at important defensive situations, and he's been a force in the paint. Although he's only been playing around 20 minutes, they have been productive, as he's finished with eight rebounds in six of the last seven games.
Robinson’s ability to box out has been key to his production, and his 1.9 rebounds per box out lead the team. The Pacers have been struggling on the boards throughout the playoffs as they've allowed the third-most rebounds per game (44.3), and they were 23rd in rebounds allowed to centers this year.
Jalen Brunson Under 31.5 Points (-115)
Jalen Brunson has been the Knicks’ most consistent scorer throughout the playoffs, as his 30.4 points per game ranks second. There isn't much more he can do with 43 points in Game 1 and 36 in Game 2, and still coming up on the losing end.
As they head to Indiana, we should expect a regression coming from the Knicks guard. The fast pace of Indiana could already be taking a toll as he went from shooting 60% in Game 1 to 48% in Game 2. He's also struggled in Indiana by going under this prop in five of the last six games.
Andrew Nembhard 2+ Three-Pointers Made (+145)
Andrew Nembhard has been a sharpshooter throughout the playoffs, as he is hitting 53.1% of his threes. He's continued to be efficient in this series as he has two three-pointers in each game and four out of his last five games.
This now gives Nembhard multiple threes in three straight games. Indiana’s fast pace of play means extra possessions, and Nembhard has been able to take advantage of that with nine games in the playoffs where he's attempted at least three shots from beyond the arc. With how well he's shooting, Nembard could clear this prop.
