Led by playoff Jimmy and his 35 points, the Heat managed to steal Game 1 in Boston. It appears that everyone expects the Celtics to rebound and win in convincing fashion tonight considering they are nine-point favorites. They should win, but this line seems a little too steep in my estimation. The Heat have proven time and time again that they can hang around with the best in the playoffs, and there’s no reason to think they’ll fold tonight.

Friday’s Best NBA PrizePicks Player Predictions
Here are the best PrizePicks plays for NBA action on Friday, May 19.
Maybe lost in the limelight of Butler’s phenomenal performance was Bam, who finished with 20 points on 9-13 shooting. He led the game with a +18 rating and has faired well facing Boston all year. In five games against them, he has scored 19, 23, 28, 30, and 20 points. Adebayo has scored 18+ points in four straight games and seven of 12 overall. The Celtics ought to put more attention on Butler, and if they do, Bam should see even more scoring opportunities.

After Robert William’s putrid Game 1, where he finished with a -14 rating in 25 minutes, it’s hard to think Mazzula will start him again today. It makes more sense for them to go with a smaller lineup to match up better with the Heat starting five. If that’s the case, then look for Horford to be a big benefactor in the rebounding department. He is second on the team in rebounds this postseason, averaging 12.7 rebound chances and 7.5 rebounds per game. Horford has cleared this in eight of the 14 games and should be able to add to that tally tonight.
Rolling with the same speculative theory, if Williams sees his playing time cut, then perhaps we see more Derrick White tonight. He picked up four fouls in his first nine minutes of action, but he still found a way to score 11 points by the end of the game in just 20 minutes. In five games against the Heat this year, he has scored 10, 15, 13, 23, and 11 points. It wouldn’t be all that shocking to see him put up 15+ points tonight, and you can get that at +550 over at FanDuel.
