Monday’s Best NBA PrizePicks Player Predictions
PrizePicks record: 125-86-1
Jalen Brunson Fewer Than 8.5 Assists
The heart and soul of the Knicks will get plenty of looks to score here, which will reduce his propensity to dish it out. The Pacers allowed the second-fewest assists to Point Guards this season. Brunson stayed under this line in all three games against them as well, posting assist lines of six, one, and four. Looking at the first round, Lillard stayed under this in all four of his games, averaging just five per game.
Aaron Gordon Fewer Than 6.5 Rebounds
After his rebounding clinic against the Lakers, it might feel strange to see a case for an Under on Gordon here, but this is an entirely different matchup. Minnesota uses KAT to guard Jokic, while Gobert roams the paint, making rebounding chances very slim for Gordon. When he is on defense he will be guarding KAT or Edwards on the perimeter more often than not as well. He had just five rebound chances in Game 1, converting that into three boards.
Naz Reid More Than 13.5 Points+Rebounds
The Sixth Man of the Year came alive in the fourth quarter in Game 1. He didn’t do much before that point, but his 14 points in the closing frame were the difference in them securing the win on the road in Denver. Ultimately he finished with 16 points and four rebounds in that contest, while playing 23 minutes. Reid didn’t see nearly as much time in the opening round, but that came down to matchups. They’re going to need him mixing in much more given Denver’s size, and this line is still far too low for Naz. When Karl-Anthony Towns is active, Reid has surpassed this line in 46-of-67 games (69%) averaging 16.8 Points+Rebounds per game.
