Jrue Holiday has secured five rebounds in his last two games against the Knicks combined, while playing nearly 60 minutes. In Game 3, he had just five rebound chances, the lowest number of chances he’s had in his last 10 games. Meanwhile, the Knicks rank 11th in the NBA in rebounds allowed to point guards this season. They’re not elite, but certainly above average in limiting point guards in the rebound category.
Meanwhile, Josh Hart has secured only six rebounds in each of his last two games. He’s added at least 10 rebounds in 50% of games this year. However, he’s hit at least 10 rebounds in only two of his last five games. Beyond that, he’s averaged just 8.6 rebounds per game against the Celtics over his last 16 games against them. The Celtics currently rank ninth in the NBA in rebounds allowed to shooting guards, which is another above-average rank on defense.
Derrick White has drilled only three three-pointers in each of his last two games. The Knicks currently rank ninth in the NBA in three-point shooting percentage among shooting guards. Plus, they’re fifth in the NBA in three-point attempts from shooting guards. Of course, the Celtics will get their shots up from three.
