Wednesday's Best NBA PrizePicks Player Predictions
This Season: 12-15 | Last Week: 2-1
Karl-Anthony Towns has been a monster in the first half at home, clearing this number in 73% of games and eight of the last nine. He is averaging 22.6 points + rebounds + assists in the first half at home. The Spurs are an above-average matchup for centers even with Victor Wembanyama manning the middle.
Daniel Gafford had scored 10+ points in 17 of his last 19 games, averaging 12.9 points per game over that span. He cleared this number in six out of seven games versus Minnesota last season. Gafford is highly efficient from the field, shooting 73% and getting to the free-throw line three times a game.
Over the last 14 games at home, Derrick White has exceeded 8.5 rebounds + assists in 13 games. He cleared this number in three out of four games versus Philadelphia last season and in 68% of games overall this season. He is seeing plenty of opportunities, averaging 8.4 potential assists and 9.0 rebound chances per game.
Buddy Hield has exceeded this line in 10 straight games against bottom-10 defenses for rebounds allowed. The Lakers are a favorable matchup for shooting guards as they are in the top 10 for points, rebounds and assists allowed to the position.
I know taking a less-than prediction on Nikola Jokic is crazy to some. He has not had more than 50 points + rebounds + assists over his last five games and has only been averaging 42.2 combined points, rebounds and assists per game.
In a matchup versus Phoenix just a couple of days ago, he managed to finish with 41. In three games against Phoenix last season he had 42, 46 and 41 points + rebounds + assists. Jokic may be an elite player but he has struggled recently and against Phoenix.
