Friday’s Best NBA PrizePicks Player Predictions
PrizePicks record: 80-59-1
It didn’t work out last game against the Pacers, but I am willing to go back to the well with Zion Williamson. On Wednesday, he scored 23 points while shooting 10-20 from the floor and 2-5 from the charity stripe against the Pacers. The matchup is too strong to ignore, despite Williamson coming up a hair short last game. He scores a whopping 77% of his points in the paint, good for one of the highest rates in the NBA. Indiana has allowed the most points in that region and is second in pace, too, so Zion should see plenty of scoring opportunities in this one.
This line is simply too low for the assist leader in the NBA. He’s averaging 11.6 assists per game and had 13 against the Pelicans just two games back. They have allowed the third-most assists per game to opposing point guards over the last 30 days. When Tyrese Haliburton has played at least 25 minutes, he is over this mark in 30/42 (71%) games.
The statisticians failed to award Jalen Duren a clear rebound of his last game, which held him under this mark. That was a rarity for Duren, who routinely goes over this line when he gets the minutes. When he has played 26 minutes or more, Duren is over this in 28/34 games, averaging 13 rebounds per game. The Cavaliers have allowed the 10th-most rebounds per game to opposing centers this season and the second-most over the past 15 days.
