Friday’s Best NBA PrizePicks Player Predictions
PrizePicks record: 99-67-1
Kelly Olynyk Less Than 13.5 Rebounds+Assists
This Raptors squad is as depleted as it gets right now. They’re without Scottie Barnes, Jakob Poeltl, RJ Barrett, and Immanuel Quickley. That explains the 15-point spread in this one. They went through the wringer last game against the Kings without all of those players, resulting in a 34-point blowout loss. Given the spread in this one, it seems fairly likely we see another Toronto spanking here.
Even though OKC tends to allow plenty of rebounds and assists to opposing centers, this isn’t a line to which Olynyk ever seems to come close. Since joining the starting lineup, he has been under this in six of eight games, averaging 29 minutes, 5.5 rebounds, and 4.5 assists per game.
Trayce Jackson-Davis More Than 17.5 Points+Rebounds
Steve Kerr has featured Jackson-Davis on the floor a little bit more as of late. Over his last six games, the rookie is averaging roughly 25 minutes per game and has exceeded this number in four of those contests, with one miss at 17. When he has played 20-plus minutes, Jackson-Davis has gone over this mark in 12 of 17, averaging 19.9 points+rebounds.
On top of the recent bump in usage, this is a great matchup for TJD. The Pacers have allowed the second-most points in the paint this season, and Jackson-Davis has pretty much exclusively scored from that region. Additionally, both teams play extremely fast, so there should be plenty of opportunities for him to score and find boards in this one.
Deandre Ayton Less Than 31.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists
If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. We hit the under on Ayton’s PRA line on Wednesday at 34.5. He finished with 16 across 26 minutes in a blowout loss to the Clippers. Well, Ayton and the Trail Blazers play them again, and there’s no reason to think he will go off now.
The Clippers have allowed the fourth fewest points per game to the position this year and over the last 30 days. In the first game of the season, they held Ayton to just four points, 12 rebounds, and one assist. Both of these teams tend to play slow, ranking 22nd and 23rd in pace respectively. As 13-point underdogs, there’s always a concern for Ayton hitting the pine early in the event of a blowout.
