Friday’s Best NBA PrizePicks Player Predictions
Here are the best PrizePicks plays for NBA action on Friday, March 24.
If anyone is stopping this madman, it is the Chicago Bulls. With two of the best defensive guards in the league, Alex Caruso and Patrick Beverley, it is hard for any guard to make much noise against the Bulls. Over the last 15 games, Chicago has allowed the fewest points per game to Point Guards.
With Anfernee Simons and Jerami Grant both listed out, there aren’t many other scoring options on this Portland squad. That should make it easier for Chicago to double-team Dame if necessary, although the likes of Caruso and Bev should make shooting miserable for him anyhow. As it is, Lillard has failed to eclipse this mark in seven of his last 11 games. It never feels great fading one of the best scorers in the game, but in this matchup and in this situation, it feels right.
The Wizards will once again be without both Bradley Beal and Kyle Kuzma, which opens the door for Deni Avdija to see plenty of more usage. Last game with both of them out, Avdija had a combined 24 points+rebounds against the Nuggets, and his line at Fanduel is 22.5 -120. He put up 25 points+rebounds the game prior, with Kuzma absent the game prior as well.
Washington gets the best matchup possible tonight with the Spurs visiting, so Deni shouldn’t have much trouble getting over this mark. San Antonio is dead last in Defensive Net Rating, 4th in Pace, and has just about their entire team listed on the injury report.
We’re running it back with CP3, who came through the last game against the Lakers, scoring 18 points. Tonight the Suns face the Sacramento Kings, who are 26th in Defensive Net Rating and 11th in Pace. They have also allowed the 10th most points and 5th most assists per game to Point Guards. That’s Chris Paul’s position. Bet you didn’t know that.
Deandre Ayton and Kevin Durant both remain sidelined for tonight’s game which should open up Paul to see even more usage. He didn’t dish out many assists last game, but that’s just an aberration from the norm. In two games against the Kings this season, he put up 36 and 32 points+assists. The game total is set at 239.5, so there will be plenty of assist and scoring opportunities for The Point God.
