Utah’s rookie point guard has been the gift that keeps on giving when it comes to assists. Since joining the starting rotation, Collier has averaged 8.7 assists per game over his last 17 games. The Jazz will also be without Collin Sexton in this game. Collier has gone over this in five games without him, averaging 10.8 per game, and 18.2 potential dimes per game as well. The Lakers are 23rd in assists allowed.
Sticking in the same game, let’s turn to Utah’s big man, Walker Kessler. He gets a fantastic matchup inside the paint, going up against the Anthony Davis-less Lakers. They are 23rd in points in the paint allowed, and this is a line that Kessler has routinely cooked. He has 22+ points+rebounds in 21 of his last 29 games, averaging 24.1 per game. He had 13 points and 11 rebounds against the Lakers back on December 1st.
Two games back after missing 13 of his previous 16, look for Cameron Johnson to have his way against the Hornets. They are just 18th in defensive net rating and he put up 34 points against them earlier this season. Without Cam Thomas in the fold, who remains sidelined for the foreseeable future, Johnson has exceeded this line in 12-of-18 games, averaging 21.3 points per game.
