This is a strange time in the NBA, where some teams are in tank mode and others are in rest mode as they gear up for the playoffs. Be sure to do your due diligence before filling out any PrizePicks cards.
Writing this overnight can be a challenge to navigate which players will play and which will sit. With that said, let’s find some winners to kick the week off.

The Mavericks continue to navigate the injury storm as they push for a playoff spot. A key cog in that mission is P.J. Washington. He has missed a good amount of time but is back, and the primary scoring option for the team right now.
Washington has scored 29, 26 and 27 points since returning from injury a week ago. Taking on the Brooklyn Nets’ sub-par defense, he should find his way to another 20+ point performance. The Nets allow the eighth-most free throws and are 27th in spot-up and transition defense. Those three play types are how Washington scores 70% of his points.
With Nikola Jokic unlikely to suit up, it’s only right to turn to somebody on the Nuggets to pick up the slack. Murray seems like the most obvious candidate. He just put up 38 points in a tough matchup against the Rockets last night and draws a significantly easier foe tonight taking on Chicago. The Bulls are 28th against pick-and-roll ball handlers.
Do you see a theme here yet? The 76ers are battling to field a team right now with the injury wave that has hit their team. Despite their depth, it has been Quentin Grimes who has paved the way in terms of scoring.
Grimes has found 25+ points in 10 of his last 12 games, averaging 28 per game over this span. The matchup couldn’t get much better than facing the helpless Pelicans either. They’re 28th against spot-up shooting, 29th in transition defense and dead last overall in defensive net rating. Look for Grimes to keep up the hot streak he has been on.
