The Suns are changing things up, and have Bradley Beal coming off the bench. Over his last two games with this new experiment, that has led to an uptick in dimes. Beal has eight and nine potential assists in these contests, which his teammates have helped him convert into five dimes in each game.
The matchup is ripe for scoring, too, with this game holding the highest total (238.5) on the board tonight. The Suns welcome Atlanta into town, who is 20th in adjusted defensive rating and second in pace.
Simply put, this number is way off. We are getting this deflated number on Donovan Mitchell because of his recent stretch of lackluster scoring. He put up 15, 19 and 11 points over his last three; however, if there were ever a matchup to get the shot back, it would be facing the Raptors.
The Raptors rank 26th in adjusted defensive net rating, eighth in pace and have allowed the fifth-most points to opposing shooting guards. Mitchell put up 26 against them at the end of November and has hit the more than on this line in 20 out of 35 games, averaging 22.9 points per game.
Without John Collins in the fold, look for Walker Kessler to grab even more rebounds than usual. He and the Jazz face Miami, 27th in rebounding on the year. These teams squared off just last week, and Kessler found 16 boards on 24 rebounding chances.
That was with John Collins available, too. Kessler has recorded at least 11 rebounds in six out of eight games without Collins, averaging 12.9 per game.
