This Season: 48-51
The Washington Wizards are one of the few NBA teams that don't have a clear advantage from beyond the arc when playing against the Lakers. Even though the Lakers allow the third-most points off three-pointers this season, the Wizards only shoot 34.9% from deep, so they may struggle anyway.
However, we will back Kyle Kuzma to make at least two three-pointers in this game. Kuzma is averaging 2.3 made three-pointers per game this season while attempting nearly seven shots per game from beyond the arc. Though he's just 3-of-16 in his last three games, this is a great matchup for him. If he continues to put up a lot of shots, he's bound to make at least two against this defense.
Devin Vassell has had back-to-back 20-point games, and he's scored at least 21 in three of his last four. Yet, it's still shocking to see this number two points above his season average tonight. The Thunder rank 11th in the NBA in points allowed per game, and in two games against them this season, Vassell has scored 21 and 12.
The Thunder have one of the best three-point defenses in the league, which will be a problem for Vassell. He's been averaging nearly three makes on 42.5% shooting from deep in February. The Thunder's defense will slow him down and keep him under 20 tonight.
Jalen Suggs is only averaging 5.2 three-point attempts per game this season, yet he's managed to knock down an average of 2.0 per game. This month, he's seen both of his averages increase, being more aggressive from beyond the arc.
In his last game, he finished just 1-of-2 from deep. These types of performances aren't much of an anomaly for Suggs, which does cause some concern when it comes to taking his over. However, he's made at least two three-pointers in five of his last seven games. Additionally, the Utah Jazz have the second-worst three-point defense in the league regarding three-point percentage allowed and points allowed off three-pointers.
