Wow, I said the trade deadline was white-hot a couple of days ago, and look at where we are now. This is hands down the best trade deadline in NBA history, and it’s still not quite over. Let’s keep the winning ways rolling with this smaller slate.

We’re going back to the DeRozan assist angle, despite his shortcomings on Wednesday. With Fox out of the picture, there are plenty more dimes to throw around, and DeRozan has been a big part of that. Overnight, I don’t have access to potential assists for yesterday’s game, but we do have four other games without Fox to look at for DeMar. He had eight, 15, eight, and nine potential assists in those contests. If his teammates can convert on roughly half of those opportunities, this should get home once again.
Without Anthony Davis in the fold, and Mark Williams still on the way, Hayes will be the starting center tonight, and the Warriors have allowed the fifth most rebounds to opposing centers this season. Hayes has found at least six boards in five of his six games without AD.
The hit-rate hasn’t been there just yet for Kawhi, but it’s not like the minutes have been either. They have been increasing, however, as he had played 28+ minutes in four straight (compared to the 24 minutes he was averaging), before being benched in a blowout loss to the Lakers. Now facing a Pacers squad that is sixth in pace, and 18th in adjusted defensive net rating, look for Leonard to get over this mark.
