This Season: 51-54
Jakob Poeltl is out tonight which means Olynyk should see a significant increase in playing time. However, Poeltl was out for Tuesday's game against the Charlotte Hornets as well, and Olynyk only scored 15 points. He did dish out seven assists to put his Points + Assists + Rebounds number at 28, but he's a player averaging only 3.7 assists per game. Even in extended minutes, we shouldn't expect him to hit seven again.
The Suns are average at defending in the paint. Plus, Olynyk is known to shoot and knock down one or two threes in a game. However, this is still too high of a number entering tonight's contest.
Doncic has knocked down four three-pointers in back-to-back games. A large reason for his success is that he has put up so many shots. In his last two games he's attempted a combined 23 three-pointers, and dating back to his last game before the All-Star break, he's attempted at least eight in every contest.
The Heat rank 11th in opponent three-point percentage, but they also give up the 20th-most points from three-point range in the NBA. Doncic has made at least four three-pointers in five of his last seven games, and this is good enough of a matchup to trust him to do the same tonight.
Murray has combined for 20 assists in his last two games, recording at least nine in each. That has brought his season average up to 6.5 per game. However, it's unlikely he will continue to perform at such a high level tonight.
The Celtics rank fifth in the league in assists allowed per game. Additionally, when these two teams played each other earlier this season, Murray finished with just five assists. He did score 35 points in that game, but even if he shoots less tonight, he will still struggle to rack up assists like he has been recently.
