Tuesday’s Best NBA PrizePicks Player Predictions
This Season: 13-22
Jusuf Nurkic Over 22.5 Points + Rebounds
Jusuf Nurkic has gone over this total in four of his last five games. The only time he didn't, he managed just three points against the Lakers. Nurkic has pulled down at least eight rebounds in six of his last seven contests. He's also scored at least 14 in four of his last five.
The Warriors have struggled on the road this season, but most of their games have been very high-scoring. If both teams score over 110 points tonight, then Nurkic will be responsible for at least 15. In that situation, he just needs eight rebounds. But on the off chance that he struggles in one category or the other, it's best to take this combo. He's rarely been off in both categories of late.
Luka Doncic has been averaging 36.8 points per game over his last five games. His lowest point total in that stretch is 32, which he accomplished against the Portland Trail Blazers, despite making just 39.3% of his field goals.
When he played the Lakers earlier this season, Doncic scored just 30 points on 10-26 shooting. However, he will have more success tonight against a team due for a letdown after winning the inaugural NBA In-Season Tournament.
Doncic had one of his worst three-point shooting nights of the year against the Lakers, but the defense won’t be quite as electric tonight. Plus, Doncic is 19-of-49 from deep in his last four games. With the volume of shots he puts up, if he hits that percentage tonight, he's easily clearing the over.
James Harden has pulled down seven rebounds in back-to-back games, so it's no surprise that his points + rebounds total is set higher than it should be. But Harden's rebounding has been inconsistent this season. He's averaging just 4.5 per game, and before his back-to-back sevens, he had five or fewer in seven consecutive games.
Still, Harden has figured out how he fits into this offense as a scorer. He's scored at least 20 in three of his last four and at least 18 in five of his last six. Even on a terrible night against the Utah Jazz this past Friday, Harden scored 12 points. The days of single digits are long behind him. Against a Kings team that ranks ninth-worst in the league in points allowed per game, Harden is likely to hit 20 again.
