Tuesday’s Best NBA PrizePicks Player Predictions
This Season: 58-62
When these two teams met in early March, Russell went 9-of-12 from deep. It was the most shots he's made from beyond the arc in a single game, and it was only his second performance of the season with over seven made three-pointers.
Russell has knocked down a combined 10 three-pointers in his last two games, so we're banking on him cooling off to hit this under. The Bucks rank ninth in the league in three-point percentage allowed and also 12th in points allowed off three-pointers. With this game being played in Milwaukee rather than Los Angeles, Russell will have a tougher time shooting, as the Bucks prevent him from making four threes in this game.
Adebayo averages 19.7 points per game this season, but this line is below his season average tonight for two reasons. First, He has scored 15 and 12 in his last two games. Second, he scored just 17 against the Warriors earlier this season.
Yet Adebayo does almost all of his damage in the paint. The Warriors rank in the league’s bottom half in points allowed in the paint this season. When you consider the long list of Miami Heat players who are either out or game-time decisions tonight, it makes even more sense to expect Adebayo to pick up some of the scoring slack.
Valanciunas has struggled to rebound this month. He's averaging just 7.5 boards per game and has pulled down 10 rebounds in just three of his 11 contests. Still, because of his recent numbers, this prop is set lower than it should be in a great matchup.
The Thunder rank 25th in the league in rebounds allowed per game. And though the Thunder are third in the league in field goal percentage, Valanciunas will still have a decided advantage down low when the Thunder do miss. In two games against the Thunder this season, Valanciunas has pulled down nine rebounds. Expect him to do the same tonight.
