Tuesday’s Best NBA PrizePicks Player Predictions
This Season: 50-52
Haliburton has not made a three-pointer in either of his last two games, shooting 0-for-12 during that span. He can knock down a significant amount of shots from deep, but the Mavericks are not the team to get right against.
In his last game against the Mavericks, he was just 1-of-5 from three-point range. Though the Mavericks rank in the league’s bottom half in three-pointers allowed and three-point percentage, they have done a good job of shutting down the opposing team's top shooter. In addition to holding Haliburton to one made three-pointer his last time out, they held Tyrese Maxey to one in each of his last two games against them. Haliburton averages 2.3 made three-pointers per game. Expect him to miss that mark tonight.
Victor Wembanyama is questionable tonight. If he's unable to play, then we like this play even more. Sengun is averaging 20.8 points per game this season, so he will need to go slightly over his season average tonight if he's going to hit this number. Even with Wembanyama playing, he managed 25 points in a matchup against the Spurs earlier this season.
The Spurs rank 25th in the league in points allowed in the paint per game. They're one of the worst defensive teams across the board, so there's always a chance that Houston’s three-point shooters for the Houston Rockets do most of the scoring tonight. Still, Sengun is their leading scorer, and we expect him to lead the way tonight in a favorable matchup.
Mobley has dished out 13 assists in his last two games combined and has assisted on at least six made baskets in three of his last four games. Yet, his total still shouldn't be this high tonight.
Even with his recent great performances, Mobley still only averages 3.0 assists per game. The Celtics rank fifth in the league in assists allowed per game. Go against Mobley's recent trends tonight and take the under.
