Wednesday’s Best NBA PrizePicks Player Predictions
PrizePicks record: 45-36
Jakob Poeltl Over 9.5 Rebounds
The Memphis Grizzlies have bled rebounds to opposing centers as of late. Ten of the last 14 starting centers they have faced have gone over this mark against them, averaging a whopping 12.6 rebounds per game. Poeltl has double-digit boards in three consecutive games and should be able to make that four in a row given the matchup at hand.
Jarrett Allen Over 31.5 Points+Rebounds
The only better matchup for centers these days is taking on the Washington Wizards. They continue to be a smash spot to the position, allowing the most points and rebounds per game. Allen has seen his prop line increase more recently due to the vacancies left by both Evan Mobley and Darius Garland. He has gone off over his last four games with 36 (vs CHI), 47 (vs DAL), 42 (vs MIL), and 27 (vs TOR) points+rebounds.
Malik Beasley Under 3.5 3-PT Made
The Bucks and Pacers squared off on New Year’s Day, and Beasley did go over this number, shooting 4-for-8 from three. Despite his success, I’m willing to assume that was more of an aberration from the norm. The Pacers have allowed the fewest three-point attempts per game by a wide margin this year. Beasley’s three other games against Indiana were not nearly as fruitful either. He shot 1-for-4, 1-for-4, and 3-for-6 from beyond the arc in those other matchups. This is a steep total to climb for just about anyone, and if he isn’t getting the number of three-pointers that he typically does, Beasley should stay under this number against the Pacers once again.
