Wednesday’s Best NBA PrizePicks Player Predictions
PrizePicks record: 4-2
Alperen Sengun Over 26.5 Points+Rebounds
Similar to last season, opposing centers continue to feast against the Hornets, so let’s look into the Rockets young big man down low. In his two games against them last season he put up 35 and 36 combined points+rebounds. Charlotte has allowed the most points and fifth-most rebounds to centers in the early going, which really isn’t too far off from last season. The Hornets love to push up the pace so there will be plenty of scoring and rebounding opportunities for Sengun.
Jayson Tatum Over 25.5 Points
In this pace-up spot against the Pacers, there should be ample scoring for the Celtics main man. Through three games he has scored 33, 22, and 34 points and this is a number he routinely crossed last year, averaging 30.1 points per game. Indiana plays at the 5th fastest pace and Tatum put up 34, 31, and 41 points in his three games against them last year.
Deandre Ayton Over 22.5 Points+Rebounds
This line is ridiculous for Deandre Ayton, no matter how poorly he has performed in the early going of his tenure with Portland. Last season against the Pistons he dominated inside and put up 47 and 40 combined points+rebounds in his two contests against them. It appears fairly likely that Detroit’s starting center, Jalen Duran, will be absent tonight, and they’ll have to plug in Marvin Bagley III down low. If he plays closer to the 30 minutes we should expect out of him, he should exceed this number. In his two games with 30+ minutes this year, he has put up a combined 33 and 29 points+rebounds. He averaged 28 PR per game last season and for the vast majority of his career as well.
