Wednesday’s Best NBA PrizePicks Player Predictions
PrizePicks record: 20-12
Just about any over is in play when teams take on the Pacers. We saw that on full display yesterday in their 157-152 win over Atlanta. Indiana plays at the fastest pace and doesn’t play much defense whatsoever. They are 26th in defensive net rating and have permitted the most points in the paint.
The leading scorer inside the paint for Toronto is Pascal Siakam. He was tamed yesterday against Orlando, but before that game, he had 33+ PRA in four of his last six games, averaging 37.5 per contest. The Pacers have also allowed the eighth-most points and sixth-most boards to power forwards, so look for Siakam to have a day.
I’m going right back to the under on Victor Wembanyama this Wednesday. He finished with just nine points on Monday against the Clippers, and the teams play yet again. The Clippers have done a sound job containing Centers, allowing the fourth fewest points per game to the position. Additionally, they are seventh in defensive net rating and 20th in pace, thereby limiting too many shot attempts for Wemby. He has been held under this mark in eight of 14 games, and it also took overtime in two games for him to go over this line.
Giannis Antetokounmpo has been dishing it out like no one else over the past couple of games. He has eight, seven and nine assists across the last three games, leading Milwaukee with 14.3 potential assists in this small sample. I’m not sure if this is a result of him being double-teamed or what, but whatever the case, he should be able to find five here in this spot. The Celtics have allowed the sixth-most assists per game to opposing power forwards.
