Wednesday’s Best NBA PrizePicks Player Predictions
PrizePicks record: 35-24
Terry Rozier Over 30.5 Points+Assists
Without Bam Adebayo in the fold, the Heat are a fairly mediocre defensive side. Over the last five games, they are 26th in defensive net rating without Bam. Without LaMelo Ball around, it’s the Terry Rozier show in Charlotte right now. Over the last five games without Ball, Rozier has averaged 38.6 points+assists per game and has exceeded this number in every game. That includes a matchup against Miami just two days ago when he finished with 34 points and 13 assists.
Giannis Antetokounmpo Over 34.5 Points
Who is stopping Giannis Antetokounmpo on the Pacers? WHO? The Pacers are dead last in opponent points in the paint, rank 25th in defensive net rating and play at the second-fastest pace. Milwaukee isn’t too far behind them and is sixth in pace, leading to an insane 259 total in the game. Giannis has put up 37, 54, 38, 25 (27 minutes), 41 and 50 points over his last six games against the Pacers.
Joel Embiid Over 33.5 Points
Another high point total for another behemoth of a human being? You bet it is. With Jalen Duren absent for the foreseeable future, this Pistons team will be exposed down low even more than usual. Over the last two games without him available, they have allowed the most points in the paint. For reference, they are 25th in PITP allowed, but Duren has missed nine of their 23 games this season. The last time Joel Embiid faced the Pistons (with Duren), he put up 33. He's averaging 33.4 points per game on the season and should be able to make light of Detroit, even if it's within just three-quarters of play.
