Wednesday’s Best NBA PrizePicks Player Predictions
PrizePicks record: 40-25
Anytime the Pacers are on the hardwood, all the overs are in play. They play at the fastest pace and own the worst defensive net rating in the Association. Indiana also has no rim protection whatsoever and has allowed the most points in the paint, which sets up Miles Bridges to have a day.
Roughly 50% of his scoring comes from within the paint, and without Mark Williams or LaMelo Ball around, someone will have to pick up the scoring for Charlotte. He has gone up against a gauntlet of solid teams at defending the paint more recently, but he went off the last time he had a plus matchup. Bridges put up a season-best 33 against the Wizards, who have allowed the second-most points in the paint.
Coby White continues to be a cash white without Zach LaVine around. Over the last nine games without LaVine, White has averaged 25.4 points, 6.8 assists and 6.4 rebounds per game (38.6 PRA). He has gone over this PRA line in eight of his last nine, with the lone miss coming in at 33. The Lakers aren't the easiest matchup by any means, but given the stretch he is on, it's only right to keep riding with the hot hand.
Collin Sexton has taken over the scoring front for the Jazz with Jordan Clarkson out. Over his last four games in the starting lineup, Sexton has put up 26, 27, 28 and 27 points. Utah will also be without Keyonte George in this one, further hampering their depth at guard. The Cavaliers are also slightly shorthanded right now and will be without Evan Mobley and Darius Garland for the foreseeable future. Cleveland has allowed the eighth-most points per game to point guards this season, so Sexton should keep the scoring going in this one.
