Thursday’s Best PrizePicks Bets
Here are the best PrizePicks plays for Thursday, March 2nd's NBA action.
Zubac has scored in double figures in three consecutive games, including 10 against the Warriors back on Valentine's Day. He did miss a few games prior to his last game against the Minnesota Timberwolves, but in that contest, he played 28 minutes and scored 12 points.
It's surprising that this number is so low, considering his recent play actually fits quite well with his season average. He has scored 10.2 points per game this season. There is no reason to think that his streak of scoring in double-digits should end tonight, especially going up against the seventh-worst scoring defense in basketball.
Beal has made just one three-pointer in four of his last five games. In his last three contests, he is just 3-11 from deep, yet, he is still averaging 2.2 made three-pointers per game. Additionally, he attempted at least three three-pointers in every game he played in during February.
Considering Beal has been shooting the ball at a high rate, it is safe to take his Over tonight. Aside from just putting up a lot of threes, he is also going up against one of the worst three-point defending defenses in the NBA. The Raptors are allowing their opponents to hit 37.4% of their three-pointers this season. Look for Beal to buck his trend and hit two or more deep balls tonight.
From a steal perspective, Porzingis had a terrible February. He averaged just 0.3 per game, and he failed to record a steal in seven of his nine games. However, for the season, he is averaging 0.9 steals per game, which means that he is all but bound to break out of this funk.
This may seem like a counterintuitive play since the Raptors are the best team in the league when it comes to turnovers per game. Yet, they steal do turn it over 11.8 times per game, which means Porzingis will have opportunities to pick up at least one steal. It's not always about finding the right time for a trend to end, but when someone was as off their season average as Porzingis was in February, it's safe to assume he will eventually get right.
