Here are the best PrizePicks plays for Tuesday, Feb. 14th's NBA action.
Brook Lopez is averaging 14.4 points per game this season, but he has had a very up-and-down February in terms of scoring. In his last outing, he scored 22 points against the Clippers. Before that, he had just nine against the Los Angeles Lakers. In his five games this month, he has scored in single digits three times. If you go back to his last game of January, he has scored in single digits in four of his last six games. It's by far his worst stretch of the season.
In his only game against the Celtics this season, Lopez scored 16 points. The Bucks lost by 21 that night. The Bucks will keep this one closer, and Lopez will go above his scoring average and get back to what he had been doing all season prior to this month. This is a play up to 14.
After three consecutive games scoring in double figures, Keegan Murray was just 1-5 from the field in Saturday's win over the Dallas Mavericks. It was his first game since Dec. 9 where he did not attempt a single two-point shot. It was also the second night in a row that he faced the Mavericks, and the team clearly had a better plan for him than they did on Friday.
Murray did have three assists in that game, which was unusually high for a player barely averaging one per game this season. If he can pick up one or two, he should find success from downtown against a Phoenix Suns' defense that allows three-point shooters to hit 36% of their shots.
Pascal Siakam is averaging 7.0 rebounds per game in his last six contests. However, he has only cleared 6.5 rebounds twice in his last eight games. Prior to that, he had at least seven rebounds in 10 consecutive games.
The Magic are 10th-best in the league in rebounds allowed per game, but this number is still low. Take advantage of that. Siakam is a player who will pull down seven or more rebounds in a game more often than not; he's just been in a bit of a slump. Look for him to finish just above his season average of 7.9 in this one.
