Thursday’s Best NBA Same Game Parlay Bets

    (Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)

Los Angeles Lakers at Boston Celtics

The most classic NBA rivalry takes place in Boston this Thursday, with the Lakers coming into town. The teams met on Christmas day, where the Celtics took care of business en route to a 125-116 win in Los Angeles. In that contest, we saw Derrick White take over facilitating, and finished with 11 assists to go along with 18 points. That was his best game in the assist department this year, so expecting that sort of output is probably unrealistic, however, asking for 15 points should be within range. He’s averaging 15.8 points per game on the year and the Lakers are allowing the third most points to opposing Shooting Guards.

Anthony Davis has torched Kristaps Porzingis in his last two matchups against him. He put up 40 points and 13 rebounds on Christmas Day and had a whopping 55 points and 17 boards last season when he was a part of the Wizards. He’s well-rested having missed the last game, and should find his way to another massive scoring and rebounding output in this one assuming he gets the minutes. When he has played 29+ minutes, Anthony Davis has found at least 11 boards in 31 of those 41 games.

    Parlay Odds: +490

    Philadelphia 76ers at Utah Jazz

Hopefully, the injury to Joel Embiid isn’t serious, but he will be out for tonight’s game in Utah. Without his presence at the rim, Philly is exposed, and they have routinely been dominated off the glass and inside the paint in his absence. The last few starting fives to face Philly are as follows:

    • Deandre Ayton 18 points
    • Nikola Jokic 26
    • Myles Turner 20
    • Domantas Sabonis 14
    • Onyeka Okongwu 19
    • John Collins 19
    • Andre Drummond 15
    • Alperen Sengun 28

Do you get the picture now? John Collins was able to do that at the start of January and should be able to put up at least 15 in this one tonight. Excluding a game he played just 14 minutes, he has put up 15 or more points in 10 of his last 15 averaging 15.7 points per game.

Next up, give me Collin Sexton to find at least six assists. He has found this number in six of his last seven games, and one he should be able to get to with no Embiid around. Both Malcolm Brogdon (nine) and Anfernee Simons (six) had solid assist outputs against Philly last game without Joel.

Lastly, look to Kelly Oubre Jr. to pick up the lack of scoring on the Sixers front. There’s a chance Tyrese Maxey doesn’t suit up in this one either, but regardless of whether he goes or not, Oubre should find plenty of success in this matchup. The Jazz are allowing the seventh most points per game to opposing Small Forwards and he put up 24 against them a couple of weeks ago. Oubre has scored 24+ points in four of eight games without Embiid.

    Parlay Odds: +380
