Indiana Pacers at Boston Celtics

The Celtics are coming into this matchup during a tough stretch, losing four of their last seven. One of those losses came at the hands of the Pacers, where Boston scored fewer than 100 points for the third time this season, losing 98-96. There was some controversy at the end of the game, however. The referees missed the Pacers committing an illegal screen to set up Pascal Siakam's game-winning shot.

One possession does not lose a game, and for the Celtics, the loss can be attributed to poor three-point shooting, going 9-of-35 from deep. This is one of the highest-volume shooting teams from behind the arc, ranking second in three-point attempts per game (42.7), so if they go cold from long range, they struggle to score.

Looking at the previous two matchups where the Celtics won by a combined 26 points, they shot 40% from three; that loss seems more like a one-off. This is a cellar-dwelling Pacers team ranked 27th in adjusted net rating (-6.7).

Oklahoma City Thunder vs. Milwaukee Bucks

It doesn’t seem like the Thunder will set the record for the best NBA record of all-time, as they can’t lose any more games this season. However, they are in a position to finish with the overall No. 1 seed. They currently hold a 5.5-game lead for the top seed in the Western Conference and are the only ones with single-digit losses. That's because it's challenging to identify their weaknesses, as they are one of the two teams at the top of the adjusted offensive and defensive ratings.

Just a little over a year ago, Milwaukee faced Oklahoma City in the NBA Cup Championship; now, they are on the verge of significant changes. They sent away major pieces in recent years, including Khris Middleton and Damian Lillard. Giannis Antetokounmpo could be next. They struggled without Antetokounmpo, with just a 1-5 record in the brief time he was out with an injury, but they have not been much better with him at 18-18. They are struggling on both sides of the ball. They rank 20th in adjusted defensive rating (116.2) and 23rd in adjusted offensive rating (113.3).
