Here are our best NBA Underdog Pick’em Player Predictions for Friday, March 1.
Over his last five games, Cade Cunningham has hit at least four rebounds, and with Detroit seemingly keeping contests much closer recently, he should see enough minutes to hit this threshold.
Obviously, the Kristaps Porzingis revenge narrative is highly tantalizing, though Derek White’s combo number could be a bit too low considering the matchup. White will have more than enough opportunity to go over this line in what should be a back-and-forth battle with a fiery pace. His projection for the day lands him closer to 24, which is exactly where we want it to be.
Milwaukee didn't need much last night to pounce all over the lowly Charlotte Hornets. Tonight's game against Chicago stands to be way more competitive. In his last 15 appearances, Malik Beasley has cleared this number in nine of those games. Chicago shooting 35% between three-point and standard field goals in their last game only breeds more confidence regarding opportunity.
The assist pick (10.5) seems like it will be a popular one today. I think this direction seems way more sound, allowing us to gain a small edge on a largely public consensus. When Tyrese Haliburton is on the court for 30+ minutes this season, he's had at least 10 assists in over 70% of his contests. Any restrictions on his minutes have been waved, so this could be a monster game for the Pacers point guard.
There are so many avenues to travel for this contest, and we wouldn't fault you for taking at least six. Both teams are riddled with injury and obscurity, so it might be best to just go with minutes. Jerami Grant has exceeded 35 minutes in five of his last seven games and has scored over 22.5 in four of those contests. Grant will be met with even less resistance at the rim with Jaren Jackson Jr. out.
