Best NCAA Final Four PrizePicks Player Predictions
Here are the best PrizePicks plays for Saturday, April 1st's college basketball action.
Adama Sanogo Over 17.5 Points
The Hurricanes give up a lot of points, and Sanogo is going to be a really hard player for them to stop tonight. He has scored 18 or more points in four of his last five games. His only lackluster performance came against the Gonzaga Bulldogs when he shot just 27.3% from the field.</P
For the season, Sanogo is shooting 60.1%, and he has put up 11 or more shots in each of his last five games. The Hurricanes have won games by outsourcing their opponents. Sanogo is a matchup nightmare, but one that Head Coach Jim Larranaga may understand his team has no answer for. This could lead to a similar game plan as against the Indiana Hoosiers when the Canes let Trayce Jackson-Davis score 23 but still won by 16.
Norchad Omier Over 10 Rebounds
Omier has proven time and time again that no matter who he is up against under the basket, he will always find ways to rebound the basketball. If you disregard the game against the Duke Blue Devils, where he played 1:06, Omier has at least eight rebounds in nine consecutive games, and he has hit double figures in six of his last eight.
In his last game, he had just nine rebounds against the Texas Longhorns, but his head coach also elected to sit him for a large portion of the first half with one foul to avoid him getting in foul trouble. Additionally, both teams shot over 50% from the floor, so there simply weren't as many rebounding opportunities as normal.
Nick Boyd Over 1.5 Assists
Boyd leads the Owls with an average of 2.5 assists per game. So why is this number so low? Because the Aztecs have one of the best defenses in the country, and Boyd is coming off a zero-assist performance against the Kansas State Wildcats.
Yet, none of that truly matters. Before his game against the Wildcats, Boyd had at least two assists in five consecutive games and 21 of his last 23. His performance against the Wildcats was an outlier, and though his team is going to struggle to knock down shots against San Diego State, recording two assists is not much of an ask.
