NFL Anytime TD Scorers Picks & Predictions: Week 3 (2026)

NFL Anytime TD Scorers Picks & Predictions: Week 3 (2026)

Last week was a second consecutive profitable week on the NFL anytime TD scorers front, albeit not quite as successful as Week 1. And I hate to be that guy, but Saquon Barkley was on the sideline with an early injury while Tank Bigsby scored the first touchdown of the game for the Philadelphia Eagles. Had Barkley scored, last week's profits would have been much more robust. At the very least, it’s further proof that the process has been very good over the past two weeks.

The odds on these bets can vary quite a bit and will continue to do so until game day. Make sure you are always shopping for the best price possible. Most of the best pricing is currently on BetMGM, but that may not hold true throughout the weekend. Once again, I used the specific bet sizes detailed below, so we only need to hit two bets to stay profitable. That said, feel free to adjust all wagers as you see fit. Here are a few of my favorite Week 3 NFL anytime touchdown bets for Sunday’s main slate.

Week 3’s Best NFL Anytime TD Scorers

Quentin Johnston (WR – LAC) | +310 at BetMGM | *0.5 Units

The Los Angeles Chargers may be the most disappointing NFL team through two weeks. They are 0-2 despite being heavy favorites in each of their first two games. Now they face a 2-0 Buffalo Bills team that seems to be clicking on all cylinders offensively.

Luckily for us, their defense hasn’t been exactly stout. The Bills have allowed 31 points in each of their first two victories. This feels like a good spot for Mike McDaniel to exploit matchups against a team he knows well. Specifically, I look for him to attack outside cornerback Christian Benford in coverage.

Benford's coverage metrics have dipped quite a bit since last season. Before 2025, Benford allowed five touchdowns in over 1,400 coverage snaps. Last season, he gave up six scores on 545 coverage snaps. One of those was to Tyreek Hill, who played for McDaniel in Miami last season.

Benford has already allowed three scores on just 95 coverage snaps through two weeks this season. That is the most in the NFL. He also plays primarily on the outside, which is why I am taking Quentin Johnston as my anytime touchdown scorer in this game.

With Los Angeles missing both David Njoku and Charlie Kolar, I expect Johnston to be a focal point of the Chargers’ red-zone offense. Johnston has led Los Angeles in receiving touchdowns in each of the past two seasons. Despite his poor results so far in 2026, Johnston leads the team in routes run and is tied for the team lead in targets.

Given these factors, I am not sure why Johnston's odds are more favorable than Ladd McConkey or Oronde Gadsden II. I like those players, too, but I’ll take Johnston at a better price to score his first touchdown of the season on Sunday.

David Montgomery (RB – HOU) | +105 at BetMGM

After scoring three times in his Houston Texans debut, David Montgomery mustered just 24 scoreless yards on eight touches in Houston's 20-6 loss to Cincinnati last week. C.J. Stroud dropped back to pass 62 times, while the Texans had just 15 designed rushing attempts.

Those numbers are especially jarring, considering that Houston's first eight offensive drives occurred when the game was either tied or the Texans were within one score. Houston was also missing top wideout Nico Collins, who will also be out for this game. The Texans will want to get back to basics on offense against a struggling Indianapolis Colts defense. That means a heavy dose of David Montgomery, especially down by the goal line.

In fairness to Indianapolis, they did stop Kenneth Walker III on three consecutive runs from the 1-yard line last week. But they still allowed Walker 117 yards on the ground, a week after ceding three touchdown runs and 144 rushing yards to Derrick Henry.

The Colts enter Week 3 dead last in the NFL in expected points added (EPA) versus the run. Montgomery is not nearly as efficient as either Henry or Walker at this stage of his career. Still, there should be opportunities to score against a bad rushing defense. I don't mind playing this prop even if the price dips below +100. But getting it at plus-money odds is certainly a favorable position.

Jaxon Smith-Njigba (WR – SEA) | +105 at BetMGM

Could this year's version of Jaxon Smith-Njigba be... Jaxon Smith-Njigba? After winning the NFL's Offensive Player of the Year Award last year, the fourth-year wide receiver is doing more than simply picking up where he left off.

Smith-Njigba already has 277 yards and four touchdowns through two games. And he has done almost all this damage with backup quarterback Drew Lock under center. Starter Sam Darnold will be back for Seattle in Week 3 when the Seahawks face the Washington Commanders. This is an extremely favorable matchup for Seattle's passing attack.

I picked CeeDee Lamb to score last week against Washington, and he delivered two touchdowns. The second came in a one-on-one matchup against Mike Sainristil, whom I mentioned in last week's article. Sainristil has now been targeted seven times this year and has allowed two touchdowns and 119 receiving yards.

Rasul Douglas hasn’t been much better, allowing 83 yards on just 34 coverage snaps. Amik Robertson has been by far the most effective Commanders cornerback through two games. But he is just a season removed from allowing 65 receptions and six touchdowns.

Washington's defensive tendencies should work in Smith-Njigba's favor, too. The Commanders are playing zone coverage on 78% of their defensive snaps thus far. Smith-Njigba has run 24 routes against zone so far. He has earned a 41.7% target share and has converted those 10 targets into 10 catches and 132 yards.

Smith-Njigba is tied for the NFL lead with six red-zone targets. There's little reason for Seattle to buck any of these trends in an elite matchup. I expect Darnold to keep feeding Smith-Njigba, and for the superstar receiver to score for a third straight week.

George Kittle (TE – SF) | +175 at Fanatics Sportsbook | *0.7 Units

George Kittle scored his first touchdown of the 2026 season in last week's cakewalk against the Miami Dolphins. Even if this week's matchup against the Arizona Cardinals isn't as favorable, this remains a good spot for Kittle to maintain the momentum from last week's contest.

Opposing quarterbacks have targeted tight ends 10 times against Arizona through the first two games of the season. All 10 passes have been completed for 105 yards. Keep in mind that one of those passes went for -10 yards to Seattle third-string tight end Eric Saubert. Legitimate receiving tight ends have had their way with the Cardinals so far. Kittle certainly qualifies in that class.

Since 2022, Kittle has caught 33 touchdown passes in 59 regular-season games. Despite coming off a torn Achilles, Kittle has looked like his old self early this season. While Arizona ranks just 23rd in EPA against the pass, they are a stout sixth against the run.

Christian McCaffrey has been a bit lackluster this year, and Kaelon Black is still largely unproven. Meanwhile, San Francisco's receiving corps is in flux. Mike Evans should play, but the 49ers are lacking depth behind him and Deebo Samuel. Kittle should be heavily involved, and I expect his usage to increase in the red zone. I am betting on George Kittle to find the end zone against Arizona in Week 3.

Jack Bech (WR – LV) | +750 at Fanatics Sportsbook | *0.2 Units

I generally do not let emotions influence my picks, especially when money is involved. But sometimes you just want to root for something to happen, you know? With that in mind, I am taking Jack Bech of the Las Vegas Raiders as my longshot anytime touchdown scorer for Week 3.

Sunday will be Bech's first NFL game in the stadium he attended as a child when his uncle was a member of the New Orleans Saints. New Orleans is also where Bech's older brother Tiger was killed on New Year's Day in 2025. Bech is determined to honor his brother's legacy, saying he plans to use Sunday's game "to rewrite this wrong in New Orleans" and "get this nasty, dirty taste out of our mouth."

For what it's worth, the matchup isn't overly inhibiting for Bech's role and skill set. The Saints rank 17th in EPA versus the pass and have allowed opposing receivers to score three touchdowns this season. Bech has been mostly operating out of the slot this season for Las Vegas. New Orleans linebackers and safeties have allowed 14 receptions on 16 targets when lined up in slot coverage. Does any of this mean Bech will score a touchdown on Sunday? Who knows. But I'm damn sure hoping it happens.
