Monday Night Football in NFL Week 16 takes us to Lucas Oil Stadium for a matchup between the San Francisco 49ers vs. Indianapolis Colts. Both teams are firmly in the playoff mix in their respective conferences, setting up a high-stakes game featuring quarterbacks Brock Purdy and Philip Rivers.
My NFL Monday Night Football Player Props & Bets (Week 15) settled a flat 0-3. Pittsburgh’s rout of Miami led to a negative game script for De’Von Achane to go over 79.5 rushing yards, while Jaylen Waddle’s injury kept him under 4.5 receptions. We nearly had Rodgers under 210.5 passing yards, but the Steelers’ quarterback finished just over that line with 224 passing yards.
Let’s bounce back with a winning night on the 49ers and Colts during NFL Week 16 Monday Night Football with three of my favorite player props. Follow me on X at Matt_MacKay_ for more betting analysis and free picks.

Best NFL Monday Night Football Player Prop Picks
(Odds courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook)
Brock Purdy hasn’t missed a beat with his favorite target, George Kittle. The 49ers’ star tight end has logged five to 10 targets in every start with Purdy since his return against the Cardinals in Week 11.
Kittle has finished with over 66.5 receiving yards in five straight games. Two of those finishes came with exactly 67 receiving yards, so we may be locked in for a full game sweat with this prop. However, Indianapolis is allowing 6.2 net yards per pass attempt, ranked 16th in the NFL, so Kittle can be explosive after the catch to rack up extra yardage.
Let’s bet on Kittle to go over 66.5 receiving yards for a sixth consecutive outing when he takes on the Colts on Monday Night Football.

The other star in San Francisco’s offense, running back Christian McCaffrey, has been fed 20-plus carries in three straight games. McCaffrey has gone over 59.5 rushing yards in two of those three starts, finishing with 53 rushing yards against a stout Browns defensive front.
Indianapolis is a formidable unit at stopping the run. The Colts allow just 3.7 YPC, tied for the lowest in the league alongside the Seahawks. However, McCaffrey’s volume and burst within Kyle Shanahan’s zone-blocking scheme make him a high-value play at a relatively low number, such as 59.5.
The 49ers’ RB1 will get us 60-plus rushing yards in a game that the 49ers need to win to stay ahead in the NFC Wild Card race, especially with the Colts allowing over 100 rushing yards against four of their previous five opponents.

Philip Rivers is expected to make his second straight start for the Colts in Week 16. The 44-year-old veteran quarterback distributed the football fairly evenly against Seattle during his debut. Now, he’ll draw a softer matchup against a fairly porous 49ers pass defense.
San Francisco has allowed 6.4 net yards per pass attempt, which is a bottom-12 mark in the NFL this season. Injuries have played a big part in that. Plus, Rivers held his own against a smothering Seahawks defense on the road last Sunday.
He looked toward rookie tight end Tyler Warren six times against Seattle. That turned into three receptions for 19 yards. Expect a lot more productivity from Rivers back home at Lucas Oil Stadium in a plus-matchup that may carry a negative game script.
Warren has not gone over 3.5 receptions in three consecutive starts. However, it’s been a winner in 10 of his 14 games played, so expect Warren’s drought to end on Monday Night Football, especially to keep the Colts positioned for a potential AFC Wild Card seed.
We’re going to wrap up by betting on Indianapolis’ 14th overall draft pick to log over 3.5 receptions against San Francisco.
