Week 2 in the NFL concludes with a Monday Night Football doubleheader. The first game features the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as a +2.5 underdog on the road against C.J. Stroud and the 0-1 Houston Texans. Then, it’s an AFC West showdown between the Los Angeles Chargers and Las Vegas Raiders.
It was a rough debut for my Week 1 NFL Monday Night Football Player Props & Bets, settling 0-3 during the Minnesota Vikings’ comeback win against the Chicago Bears in Week 1. Let’s bounce back with three new player props ahead of tonight’s Monday Night Football doubleheader.

Best NFL Monday Night Football Player Prop Picks
(Odds courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook)
Houston will face one of the league’s best run defenses when they host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Monday Night Football. In Week 1, the Buccaneers held Atlanta’s star running back, Bijan Robinson, to 12 carries for 24 rushing yards.
Chubb logged 13 carries for 60 rushing yards against the Los Angeles Rams during his debut with the Texans. It’s going to be difficult to move the football on the ground against Tampa Bay and Stroud will likely look to air it out more against a softer pass defense.
The Texans’ RB1 is also coming off of a severe knee injury suffered last season. Bet on Chubb to go under 51.5 total rushing yards against the Buccaneers.

The Buccaneers’ top draft pick, Emeka Egbuka, came through with a clutch performance during his first NFL start in Week 1. The former Ohio State wideout logged an 18 percent target share, second behind Mike Evans, turning six targets into four receptions for 67 yards and two touchdowns.
Egbuka’s rapport with Baker Mayfield looks well-established. Houston’s pass defense just gave up a 72 percent completion rate to Matthew Stafford during their 14-9 loss on the road.
As Chris Godwin continues to rehab, there’s going to be plenty of targets for Egbuka within Tampa Bay’s offense, led by first-year OC, Josh Grizzard. Egbuka had enough targets to finish with over 4.5 receptions last week and I expect there will be at least another six passes directed his way in Week 2.
Bet on Egbuka to finish with over 4.5 total receptions at a good price.
Las Vegas fed their top rookie draft pick, running back Ashton Jeanty, 19 carries during their 20-13 road win against New England. Most of the offensive production came from quarterback Geno Smith, who logged over 300 passing yards in head coach Pete Carroll’s debut.
Jeanty was a Heisman Trophy finalist after running rampant as Boise State’s workhorse running back in 2024. The Chargers had a porous run defense in 2024 and it showed up again during their win against Kansas City.
Los Angeles allowed 5.8 YPC and a rushing touchdown in Week 1. I expect the Raiders to be able to move the football downfield, leading to red zone touches for Jeanty.
Despite being held to 2.0 YPC last week, Jeanty still found the end zone. He’ll continue to rack up touchdowns as Las Vegas’ RB1, especially facing a relatively weak run defense, so bet on Jeanty in the Any Time Touchdown Scorer market at -110.
