Monday Night Football’s Best PrizePicks Predictions
Without Barkley, the Giants don't have the ability to run the ball. Against the San Francisco 49ers last week, the Giants ran 11 times for just 29 yards. However, this abysmal performance on the ground didn't lead to more air yards. Jones had just 137 yards in the game.
However, that was against the 49ers' defense, which is far superior to that of the Seahawks. The Seahawks are allowing 339.3 passing yards per game. They have allowed all three quarterbacks they've faced this season to throw for over 300 yards, including Andy Dalton who threw for 361 last week.
Jones has failed to throw for 150 yards in two of his three games this season, but we expect him to pick apart the Seahawks' defense like everyone has done this year.
If Jones is going to have as much success as we think he is, then some of his receivers are in line for big games. Waller is his favorite target. Jones has thrown his way 20 times this season, the most of anyone on the team.
Most importantly, Waller has done the most with his opportunities. Waller leads the team with 12 catches, and he has racked up 132 yards. The second-leading pass catcher on the team, Parris Campbell, has 11 catches but has only managed 47 yards.
Finally, the Seahawks don't cover tight ends well. In Week 1, Tyler Higbee caught three for 49, and in Week 2, Sam LaPorta caught five for 63. We'd take this up to 50.5.
It's not the most exciting play, but it's the one that has the best chance of hitting when you look at the Seahawks' offense. When Zach Charbonnet was drafted by the Seahawks, there were many who wondered if he would overtake Walker. Through three weeks, he hasn't even come close.
Walker has carried the ball 47 times compared to just 16 for Charbonnet. In the Seahawks' two wins this season, Walker carried the ball 17 and 18 times. We expect the Seahawks to play from ahead tonight and to take advantage of a run defense allowing 138 yards on the ground per game.
You may be tempted to take Walker's rushing yards over. However, his carries have not always resulted in good yardage. Last week, he carried the ball 18 times for 97 yards, but that was his only game this season above his current PrixePicks number of 64.5.
