NFL Monday Night Football PrizePicks Predictions: Saints vs. Chiefs
Travis Kelce should end the night as the Chiefs' leading receiver. After that, who will have a big night is anyone's guess. What is so enticing about Gray on Monday night is the quality of targets he's had this season. He's been targeted nine times - eight of them have turned into receptions.
Of course, Gray does have a zero-target game this season. And in Week 3, he only caught one pass. But the Saints are allowing 22.8 completions per game this season. That's one of the worst marks in the NFL. Patrick Mahomes will simply take what the defense gives him, which means getting the ball to his reliable tight ends. It's nice to get this at two since it allows for a push. That said, this is likely climbing to 2.5 before kickoff.
Travis Kelce doesn't have a single touchdown this season, despite Mahomes throwing six. But Kelce became the top target last week when Rashee Rice went down, and he's going to be the guy for the Chiefs' offense in this game.
You should feel safe taking his more thans for receptions and receiving yards. However, we're taking him to score a touchdown because it greatly increases the payout of your play at PrizePicks. The Saints have only allowed one passing touchdown this season. They've played some great quarterbacks, so this is impressive. However, the defense has started to show some weaknesses in the last few games. Without many other options to throw the ball to, look for Mahomes to finally connect with Kelce in the end zone.
Kamara has gone for at least 40 receiving yards in three of his four games. His worst performance of the season was a five-catch, 27-yard game in Week 1 against the Carolina Panthers. He's also been an explosive runner this season. His current rushing line is set at 10 yards below his worst game of the season. While the rushing total is a trap, the receiving total is not.
The Chiefs are favored by nearly a touchdown in this game. For the first time this year, the Saints may find themselves out of a game early. While that will be terrible for Kamara and his rushing prospects, it's going to make him very valuable in the passing attack. The Chiefs' secondary is solid. Look for Kamara to get a lot of opportunities because of check-downs and designed screens.
