The Bills were the last undefeated team in the league before losing their first game to AFC East rival, the Patriots. This doesn't mean they still aren't one of the top teams in the league. Josh Allen is coming off an MVP season, and he’s setting himself up to win back-to-back awards as he comes in fifth in quarterback rating and fourth in EPA per play (0.317). It helps when you have one of the top running backs, as James Cook entered Week 6 second in the league in rushing yards (450) and rushing touchdowns (5). The team's ability to efficiently pass and run will help when making a playoff run.
The Falcons seem to still be trying to find their identity. There are a couple of good wins against the Vikings and Commanders, but they took a horrendous loss when they were blanked 30-0 by the Panthers. They named Michael Penix Jr. the franchise quarterback, and so far, it's had mixed results. In that loss to Carolina, he threw for 172 yards with two interceptions, but he rebounded against Washington with 313 passing yards and two touchdowns. If he can bring that type of performance, backed by Bijan Robinson, who could go off against a Buffalo run defense that is 28th in run EPA.m we should see plenty of offense.
Atlanta has shown to come into games unprepared and they have an angry Buffalo team to deal with. This Bills will be ready to come away with road win and their momentum back.
