NFL Parlays & Picks: Best Bets for Week 5 (2025)

NFL Parlays & Picks: Best Bets for Week 5 (2025) - Jalen Hurts

It’s been an unpredictable start to the 2025 NFL season. As a result, most games have been wildly entertaining, while the parity across the league feels like it’s at an all-time high.

My NFL Parlays & Picks: Best Bets for Week 4 unfortunately fell victim to the unpredictability factor, settling 0-2. Only one of four legs settled as a win, which happened when the Los Angeles Rams scored the go-ahead touchdown late in the fourth quarter to beat the Indianapolis Colts. Carolina +5.5, Tampa Bay +3.5, and Minnesota’s moneyline all wound up losing in Week 4.

Let’s attempt to bounce back with two more NFL early week parlays heading into the first week of byes during Week 5. Follow me on X at Matt_MacKay_ for more NFL betting analysis and free picks.

NFL Early Week Parlays: Week 5

                              Parlay 1 (+104)

Leg 1: Los Angeles Rams Moneyline (-230)

Sean McVay and the Los Angeles Rams have owned Kyle Shanahan’s San Francisco 49ers during their tenure as head coaches of these two NFC West rivals. The Rams are one blocked field goal attempt away from potentially being 4-0 heading into Week 5, coming off of an impressive comeback win against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 4.

The 49ers just got QB Brock Purdy back under center against Jacksonville but lost outright as a sizable home favorite. Multiple turnovers and the absence of edge rusher, Nick Bosa, led to San Francisco’s perfect record going up in flames.

It’s a short week with a Thursday Night Football matchup but it’s being played at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles. Let’s not overthink this matchup and bet on the Rams to continue stacking wins over their NFC West rival.

Leg 2: Philadelphia Eagles Moneyline (-235)

Yes, the Philadelphia Eagles are 4-0 but their inability to score points in the second half against Tampa Bay nearly cost them a win. A relatively favorable matchup against Denver at home in Week 5 feels like a potential bounce-back spot for a team that has yet to lose a game in 2025.

Denver’s offense is only averaging 21.3 points per game under head coach Sean Payton. This is 19th in the league, putting Bo Nix and the Broncos’ offense close to a bottom-12 unit.

Philadelphia’s defense is ranked 15th in the league, while its offense is averaging 27 points, relying on its run-centric scheme with Jalen Hurts and Saquon Barkley. Denver has historically had a stout defense but they’ve allowed the Colts and Chargers to score 23 or more points, while failing to beat the lowly Titans by more than one possession.

The Eagles will dominate this game, but as a precaution, let’s insert their moneyline as the second leg in this NFL parlay to juice it to plus odds.

                              Parlay 2 (+256)

Leg 1: Tennessee Titans vs. Arizona Cardinals – Under 41.5 (-115)

Speaking of the Titans, we’re going to bet on under 41.5 total points during their Week 5 road trip against Arizona. The Cardinals have a top-five scoring defense, holding opponents to 18.5 points per game in 2025 under head coach Jonathan Gannon.

Cam Ward’s tenure with Tennessee as the No. 1 overall draft pick has lacked any significant production. The Titans rank 32nd in points scored per game under head coach Brian Callahan, averaging 12.8 points per game, including a shutout loss against Houston in Week 4.

Arizona’s offense hasn’t been lights out by any means either. Kyler Murray no longer has James Conner in the backfield, adding more pressure when he drops back in the pocket. Tennessee’s defense isn’t great, ranked as a bottom-ten scoring unit, yet two of their blowout losses came against the Rams and Colts, which both have good offensive production.

This feels like a game that Arizona wins 27-10 or 34-7. Let’s bet under 41.5 total points between the Titans and Cardinals for the first leg in this second early week NFL parlay.

                              Leg 2: Tampa Bay Buccaneers +3.5 (-110)

I’ve been on Tampa Bay all season when it comes to their point spread. It didn’t work out in Week 4 against Philadelphia, however, the Buccaneers quickly found themselves in a 21-3 deficit, leading off with a blocked punt returned for a touchdown to lose momentum.
Aside from Week 4, Tampa Bay’s franchise quarterback, Baker Mayfield, has led game-winning drives in every other matchup this season. He nearly did it again in the second half against the Eagles.
The Buccaneers visit Sam Darnold and the Seattle Seahawks in Week 5. Tampa Bay specializes in shutting down the run, which is how Seahawks OC Klint Kubiak prefers to run his offense.
Factor in Tampa Bay’s versatility on offense, leaning on RB Bucky Irving, as well as Mayfield’s arm. The wide receiving corps has Chris Godwin back in the lineup, adding more weapons for a lethal Buccaneers passing attack.
Seattle is 1-1 at home in 2025. They lost by four points to a healthier 49ers team, then dominated the Saints 44-13. Tampa Bay will be focused and ready to get back in the win column after suffering their first loss in Week 4.
Let’s bet on Mayfield and the Buccaneers to cover +3.5 on the road in Seattle to bring this NFL parlay to +256 odds.
