San Francisco 49ers @ Kansas City Chiefs SGP
- Leg 1: Patrick Mahomes Over 17.5 Rushing Yards (-255)
- Leg 2: Isiah Pacheco 60+ Rushing Yards (-150)
- Leg 3: Christian McCaffrey 80+ Rushing Yards (-175)
- Leg 4: Christian McCaffrey 25+ Receiving Yards (-240)
- Leg 5: Christian McCaffrey Anytime TD Scorer (-210)
Patrick Mahomes doesn’t run recklessly. Still, he can scoot when the opportunity presents itself. According to Pro-Football-Reference, he averaged 24.3 rushing yards per game in the regular season, clearing 17.5 rushing yards 11 times in 16 games.
Mahomes is also more willing to run in the playoffs, averaging 25.0 rushing yards per game this season and 26.9 in his career. Including the playoffs, Mahomes has had a median of 26 rushing yards this season.
Isiah Pacheco can also do damage on the ground. The second-year pro has averaged 69.9 yards per game this season, with a median of 66. Additionally, he’s eclipsed 60 rushing yards in four consecutive games and seven of his past nine.
The matchup is good, too. Since Week 14, running backs have gashed the 49ers for 97.3 rushing yards per game and 4.97 yards per carry. Pacheco can make the most of the matchup. FantasyPros projects him to have 75.0 rushing yards against the 49ers.
On the flip side, San Francisco doesn’t have a shortage of weapons, but they’d be wise to lean heavily on Christian McCaffrey. CMC has averaged 91.5 rushing yards per game and 35.3 receiving yards per game, with medians of 94.0 and 29.0. Thus, his averages and medians are over his alternate lines of 80+ rushing yards and 25+ receiving yards. He’s also had a nose for the end zone, scoring a touchdown in 15 of 18 games.
McCaffrey’s matchup is a mixed bag. Running backs have averaged 67.8 rushing yards per game, 3.90 yards per carry and 40.0 receiving yards per game against the Chiefs since Week 14. CMC has the rushing chops to overcome a challenging matchup on the ground and can thrive against a defense running backs have beaten up through the air. Finally, McCaffrey is projected to have 80.6 rushing yards, 0.6 rushing touchdowns, 40.5 receiving yards and 0.3 receiving touchdowns in the Super Bowl.
