NFL Sunday Night Football Picks & Player Props: Ravens vs. Falcons

The Baltimore Ravens will head to Atlanta to play the Falcons on Sunday Night Football. However, they’ll be without Lamar Jackson at quarterback and Trey Hendrickson on the defense. Will that hurt the Ravens against a Falcons team that keeps improving? Below are the top NFL Sunday Night Football picks & player props for this Week 5 matchup.

Baltimore Ravens vs. Atlanta Falcons (Game Pick)

The Atlanta Falcons have become a totally different team behind Michael Penix Jr. Since his return, the Falcons have scored 80 points in two gams and have stacked road wins against the Saints and Packers.

This will be Atlanta’s first home game with Penix at quarterback. The crowd will show out after the remarkable last two weeks.

That said, it’s not just Penix. Bijan Robinson has earned nearly 500 yards rushing on 85 carries. He has four touchdowns, and his partner-in-crime, Brian Robinson Jr., has also added plenty of touchdowns of his own this season.

The Ravens have limited teams to 100 rushing yards per game, while the Falcons have allowed just 48.3 rushing yards per game. Additionally, Atlanta has allowed just 264.8 yards per game in the air, while the Ravens have allowed 215.3.

But the Ravens could struggle in the passing game behind Tyler Huntley. He has experience, but he’s no Lamar Jackson. The run game should still be efficient with Derrick Henry, but if the Falcons can force Huntley into third-and-long situations, they’ll succeed.

I’ll take the Falcons at -180 on the Moneyline.

      Pick: Falcons Moneyline (-180)

Michael Penix Jr. Passing Yards (Player Prop)

Michael Penix Jr. has recorded at least 223 passing yards in back-to-back games since returning from injury. Yet, his line for this Week 5 matchup is 219.5.

Meanwhile, Penix faces a Ravens defense that has allowed the ninth-most passing yards per game this season. The pass rush hasn’t been efficient, and with Trey Hendrickson out, it’ll likely remain so. If Penix has time in the pocket, we’ve seen what he can do.

Penix is averaging 239.5 passing yards through two games; it’s no fluke. He’s improved and is easily Atlanta’s future quarterback. At home, I’ll gladly take his over in passing yards.

Pick: Michael Penix Jr. Over 219.5 Passing Yards (-113)
