NFL Week 8 Weather Report: Advice & Predictions

(All forecasts courtesy of AccuWeather.com | Odds via FanDuel Sportsbook)

Buffalo Bills (-7.5) at Carolina Panthers | Total 46.5

Forecast: 60 degrees, 5% chance of precipitation

Wind Speed: 7-9 MPH

In Charlotte, the red-hot Panthers welcome the Bills, who are in desperate need of a win after a week off due to the bye. The wind will be blowing, but it shouldn’t be enough to affect the passing games. However, watch the kicking games, as that might be bothered a bit, especially on long attempts.

New York Jets at Cincinnati Bengals (-6.5) | Total 44.5

Forecast: 58 degrees, 15% chance of precipitation

Wind Speed: 6-8 MPH

The winless Jets head to the Queen City looking to take down QB Joe Flacco, who previously spent time with Gang Green. The weather is expected to hold off, but we could get a few showers in the second half before the game ends.

Chicago Bears at Baltimore Ravens (-6.5) | Total 49.5

Forecast: 57 degrees, 0% chance of precipitation

Wind Speed: 3-5 MPH

After two missed games, and nearly a month off, the Ravens are ready to welcome QB Lamar Jackson back from a hamstring injury. Will we get the real Ravens back? The good news is the weather will be dry, so the potential of a slippery track, and a possible aggravation of Jackson’s ailment is less likely.

Cleveland Browns at New England Patriots (-11.5) | Total 40.5

Forecast: 52 degrees, 0% chance of precipitation

Wind Speed: 4-6 MPH

The weather has been known to be rough in the Northeast, even this early in the fall. Cleveland will be glad to see nicer weather after playing at home in a bit of a maelstrom on the shores of Lake Erie last week in a rout of the Miami Dolphins.

San Francisco 49ers at Houston Texans (-2.5) | Total 41.5

Forecast: 79 degrees, 5% chance of precipitation

Wind Speed: 7-8 MPH

Since there is always a chance the roof at NRG Stadium could be open, we’ll check the weather there. With a chance of precipitation, even ever so slight, it’s likely to be closed. The banged up Niners meet the resurgent Texans in quite an interesting game.

Miami Dolphins at Atlanta Falcons (-7.5) | Total 44.5

Forecast: Indoors

Wind Speed: This game is played in a dome

Will this be the end of the line for head coach Mike McDaniel? Apparently, he was given a vote of confidence this week, but other changes could be afoot. For instance, QB Tua Tagovailoa could be on an extremely short leash after three interceptions last week in Cleveland led to a blowout loss to the Browns. Of course, Tua doesn’t tackle, and the Dolphins are dead-last in the NFL against the run. While this is a weather forecast, not a fantasy piece, there is a 100 percent chance of RB Bijan Robinson going off this week.

New York Giants at Philadelphia Eagles (-7.5) | Total 43.5

Forecast: 57 degrees, 0% chance of precipitation

Wind Speed: 4-6 MPH

This is a rematch from just a few weeks ago, when the Giants stunned the Eagles on Thursday Night Football. The weather will be clear and cool, with very little wind to speak of. There is a 100 percent chance the Eagles will have revenge on their minds.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers (-4.5) at New Orleans Saints | Total 46.5

Forecast: Indoors

Wind Speed: This game is played in a dome

The banged-up Bucs can’t get to their bye week quickly enough. They just lost WR Mike Evans to a broken clavicle, and he is sidelined until at least the holidays, if not for the season. There is no word on when WR Chris Godwin (fibula) or RB Bucky Irving (foot, shoulder) can return, but they’re ruled out for this one.

Tennessee Titans at Indianapolis Colts (-14.5) | Total 46.5

Forecast: Indoors

Wind Speed: This game is played in a dome

It’s an AFC South rematch. The Colts, with the NFL’s best record, hammered the Titans 41-20 in Nashville in Week 3 in the elements. Imagine how the Colts will fare in controlled environmental conditions.

Dallas Cowboys at Denver Broncos (-3.5) | Total 50.5

Forecast: 69 degrees, 0% chance of precipitation

Wind Speed: 6-8 MPH

The Cowboys and Broncos meet in a rematch of Super Bowl XII. Dallas could use Bob Breunig, Ed “Too Tall” Jones, Harvey Martin and Randy White on defense, as the 2025 version of the Cowboys defense is horrific. The books are expecting some fireworks, as Dallas allows plenty of points, and Denver racked up 33 points in the fourth quarter against the Giants last week in a titanic comeback.

Green Bay Packers (-3) at Pittsburgh Steelers (Sunday Night) | Total 45.5

Forecast: 51 degrees, 5% chance of precipitation

Wind Speed: 5-6 MPH

The big news is QB Aaron Rodgers facing his original NFL team, the Packers, on Sunday Night Football. The good news, too, is that the weather will be cooperative, and we’ll have tremendous conditions and a dry track for the show.

Washington Commanders at Kansas City Chiefs (-11.5) (Monday Night) | Total 47.5

Forecast: 55 degrees, 25% chance of precipitation

Wind Speed: 7-9 MPH

Weather is expected to move into the Kansas City area in the early-morning hours on Tuesday. However, if the system speeds up, it’s possible it could affect the second half of this game. However, the weather isn’t likely to change things too much, if at all.
