Nashville Predators at Vegas Golden Knights
The Predators are expected to send out Justus Annunen to guard the crease. The 25-year-old Finn comes in at 4-5-1, carrying a 3.17 GAA and an .885 Save% on the season. Nashville is 31-16 (.660) cashing the GIFT this season, including a 14-8 record (.636) away from Bridgestone Arena. The Preds have covered the GIFT in eight of their last 10 games overall, plus 10 straight road contests!
On the opposite end of the ice, Vegas will likely roll out Adin Hill to defend the net. The 29-year-old Canadian is 2-0-2, carrying a 3.20 GAA and an .872 Save% this season. The Golden Knights are 30-16 (.652) cashing the GIFT this season with a 17-6 record (.739) on the friendly T-Mobile Arena ice. The Sin City bunch has cashed the GIFT in four of their last five and seven of their last 10, as well as seven straight on home ice.

Los Angeles Kings at Anaheim Ducks
The Los Angeles Kings are expected to send out Anton Forsberg to guard the crease. The 33-year-old Swede comes in at 7-6-3, carrying a 2.65 GAA and a .900 Save% on the season. On the opposite end of the ice, the Anaheim Ducks will likely roll out Petr Mrazek to defend the net. The 33-year-old Czech is 3-5-0, carrying a 4.07 GAA and a .858 Save% this season.
Second year d-man Jackson LaCombe has been on a points heater with seven points across his current six-game streak. “LaCombe” is French for “living near a valley” not “point per game” or even “the comb” as one might expect. I digress, however, the red hot Duck has clearly been feeling like he’s living near a valley with how big the net has been looking of late. LaCombe is on pace to blow away his best points month this season (November – 8) as he already has seven barely midway thru January. Additionally, 16 of his 30 points this season have come at the Honda Center. LaCombe has been a points machine, une machine à points, if you will, dating back to his days at Shattuck-Saint Mary’s, where he set a Sabres school-record with 89 points his senior year.
