Ryan O'Reilly More Than 2.0 SOG
The action gets underway at 12:30 p.m. ET with a trio of NHL games. That includes the Predators taking on the Blue Jackets in Columbus. I'll lock in Ryan O'Reilly to exceed 2.0 SOG. The centerman's definitely a pass-first player, but he has reached at least 2.0 SOG in each of his last four games. O'Reilly has eclipsed the number in two of those four games. This will be a favorable matchup for O'Reilly to cash this prop considering Columbus has allowed the fourth-most 5-on-5 shots on goal this season (1,634). And, while I stated he's a pass-first centerman, O'Reilly's still third on the team in SOG (148), so it's not like he's afraid to rip shots on net. Let's lock in O'Reilly to reach 3.0 SOG this afternoon.
Dylan Strome More Than 0.5 Assists (Demon)
The Capitals welcome in the Blackhawks tonight after shutting out the Penguins in a 6-0 affair on Thursday. Dylan Strome racked up three assists in that victory, giving him seven points (1G, 6A) over his last three games. This guy's on fire right now! The streak goes back further, where Strome has added at least one assist in 10 of his last 12 games. Washington hosts a Chicago defense that's 29th overall (3.35 GAA) and 21st on the penalty kill (77.47%). On that note, it's worth mentioning that the centerman is on the Caps' top power-play unit. Finally, this qualifies as a "demon prop," which makes sense since most sportsbooks are offering it at +120 odds. This will take our payout from the standard 5/1 up to 6.25/1.
Jakob Chychrun More Than 0.5 Points
We have a battle of struggling teams out West this evening as the Sharks (0-7-2 in their last nine) host the Senators (0-5-1 in their last six). Both Ottawa and San Jose's defenses have been horrendous this season, and that holds true especially of late. During the Sharks' nine-game slide, they're conceding an average of 5.1 goals per game. That is not a typo - 5.1 goals per game! So, I'll lock in Jakob Chychrun to simply pick up a point tonight. The D-man has added 31 points (9G, 22A) over 61 games, so that equates to roughly a 50% chance of scoring. Chychrun runs point on Ottawa's top power-play unit, which will have a great matchup against the 31st-ranked San Jose PK (73.63%). This game should be an absolute barnburner, and I expect Chychrun to have his hand in at least one goal tonight.
