One of the byproducts of simply being on the ice with Connor McDavid is that you'll get a few chances to score and plenty of opportunities to pick up assists. That has been the recipe for Edmonton's top defender, Evan Bouchard. The 24-year-old is sixth in the league in scoring among defensemen, amassing 47 points on 12 goals and 35 helpers. Bouchard's coming off an outing where he added a goal and two assists, moving him up to five points in his last five games (1G, 4A). The Oilers go for their second straight victory tonight against a Blues team that's a pedestrian 14th defensively (2.85 GAA).
Seth Jones Under 0.5 Points
Let's round it out with the under on Seth Jones' point total tonight. The defenseman only has 16 points (1G, 15A) through 38 games. That's 80th in the league among D-men. Furthermore, the Blackhawks simply haven't been an offensive threat since Connor Bedard went down with a broken jaw. They've scored two or fewer team goals in 15 of their last 18 games. As for Jones specifically, he has been held off the scoresheet in four of his last five games. Chicago welcomes the league's fifth-best defense to the United Center tonight, a Pittsburgh side that's conceding only 2.56 goals per contest.
