The NHL regular season concludes tonight, and I'm looking to close out the year with some winners. I've listed my three favorite NHL PrizePicks player predictions below. If all three of these hit, they'll net us a 6.5x multiplier.

Thursday’s Best NHL PrizePicks Player Predictions
Sidney Crosby More Than 0.5 Assists
The Penguins (33-36-12) wrap up their season at home tonight, where they'll host the Metropolitan Division-winning Capitals (51-21-9). Puck drop is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. ET from PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh, PA.
I'm riding with Sidney Crosby to pick up an assist tonight. The superstar centerman continues to produce at an All-Star level at the age of 37, as he's 12th in NHL scoring with 89 points. He's racked up 57 assists, which is the 15th-best mark in the league. Crosby has at least one assist in three out of his last six games, as well as in eight of his last 14 contests.
Meanwhile, Washington's defense hasn't been in great form down the stretch. Over the last 10 games, they're the second-worst team in GAA (4.26). The Capitals have the worst SV% (.834) over the last 10 games. I like Sid the Kid to have a big night in front of his home crowd in the 2024-25 finale.
Tage Thompson More Than 0.5 Goals (Demon)
The Sabres (35-39-7) are set to host the Flyers (33-38-10) in a battle of Eastern Conference bottom feeders tonight. This game gets underway at 7:00 p.m. ET from the KeyBank Center in Buffalo, NY.
Until I checked the stats this morning, I didn't realize Tage Thompson was lighting up the league at such a high level this year. The 27-year-old centerman is third in goals with 44. Thompson's 20th in shots on goal (SOG) with 239 across 75 games, averaging 3.2 shots on goal per game (SOG/G), which ranks 16th in the league. The Sabres centerman hasn't lit the lamp in four straight games, but he had scored a goal in his five prior games.
This is an excellent matchup for a bona fide goalscorer like Thompson, as he takes on a Philadelphia goaltending unit ranked dead last in SV% (.873) this season. Overall, the Flyers are 29th in GAA (3.22). Philly is in the midst of a 5-7-2 stretch of play, where they're allowing 3.86 goals per contest. These teams just met back on March 29th, with the Sabres prevailing in a 7-4 barnburner. I expect another high-scoring affair tonight, and I like Thompson to bury one.
Trevor Moore Less Than 0.5 Points
Let's wrap things up out west, where the Flames (40-27-14) and Kings (48-24-9) go toe-to-toe in a Pacific Division showdown. Puck drop is set for 9:30 p.m. ET from Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, CA.
The Flames have been eliminated from playoff contention, but their last-minute push up the standings has inspired me to back them from a betting standpoint. Their defense has been playing great down the stretch. Over the last 10 games, they're 10th in GAA (2.52) and fourth in xGAA (2.43). They've also faced the fewest high-danger shots (19) over the last 10 games.
I expect Calgary to carry its recent string of success into this game against Los Angeles. I ultimately believe goals will be at a premium. I'll take Trevor Moore (18 goals, 22 assists), the Kings' second-line winger, to stay off the scoresheet tonight. Something he’s done in eight of his last 16 games. More recently, he's been blanked in four of his last six outings. This feels like a spot where Los Angeles will just put it on cruise control to avoid injuries as they gear up for the postseason. Calgary's top-tier defense should turn in another solid performance.
