The Maple Leafs have years of failure in the NHL Playoffs looming over them. Whether or not you believe in curses, losing at home 7-3 might make you nervous. Toronto played uncharacteristically sloppy in that game, allowing eight power play chances to the Lightning. They still got 31 shots against Tampa Bay, and the Lightning’s blue line has been their weak point this year, allowing nearly 32 shots per game. William Nylander and Mitch Marner combined for seven shots in Game 1, and Nylander is averaging 6.3 shots against Tampa this year, while Marner is averaging four.

The Rangers aren’t the top seed in the East, but they’re incredible when this team is playing at its peak. They played great two-way hockey in Game 1, both 5-on-5 and special teams. They moved the puck well, found open shots and were physical by interrupting any New Jersey scoring chances.
Patrick Kane has gelled into the roster and finished with 12 points and a +9 in 19 games. Artemi Panarin is essential to their stellar puck movement, with a team-leading 63 assists. Both have been fine putting the puck on the net this year against the Devils, with Kane having 10 shots in two games and Panarin having 13 in four.
This one alone, you should take because of Mikko Rantanen, as he was the only Avalanche to find the back of the net in the Game 1 loss. That top forward unit for Colorado is one of the best in the league, as they combined for 113 goals. Morgan Geekie came through with a goal in Game 1. Although he's on the deeper line, Seattle proved how balanced they are as an offense when none of the top-scoring forwards got a goal on Tuesday.
