Tuesday’s Best NHL PrizePicks Player Predictions
Andrei Svechnikov More Than 1.5 Points (Demon)
The Hurricanes are among the hottest teams, with a league-high six-game winning streak. The success is coming from both sides of the ice, as they are averaging 4.5 goals and allowing 1.6 during that winning streak.
Their top line is one of the best in the league, especially with the speed and ability it has to attack the net. Andrei Svechnikov has had injury issues throughout his career, but he's a big part of their offense when he's on the ice. Coming in as the most balanced player on the team with six goals and five assists, he's facing a Philadelphia defense that is one of the worst, as their 8.87 goals against above expected is last.
Brady Tkachuk More Than 1.5 Points (Demon)
The Senators have cooled off a bit, but they are better than expected coming into the year and a possible playoff contender. They have a fantastic offense that is averaging 3.82 goals per game. Their goaltender is getting better, too, with Linus Ullmark and Anton Forsberg becoming a great duo, each allowing under 2.70 goals per game.
They traded a lot of assets last year, but Brady Tkachuk and Tim Stutzle continue to be part of the core of forwards. Tkachuk is on a nice run, with a point in each of his last four games, including a couple of multi-point performances. The Senators face Buffalo tonight, a team struggling early. That includes goalie Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen, who has regressed from last season.
Kyle Connor More Than 2.5 Shots On Goal (Goblin)
Winnipeg looks like the best team in the league, with the best offense (scoring 4.92 goals per game) and the fifth-best defense (allowing 2.50 goals per game).
Connor Hellebuyck is the reigning Vezina Trophy winner. Last season, the Jets rode him to a playoff spot, but now we are seeing the offense play up to expectations. That includes Kyle Connor, who only played 65 games last year but still led the team with 62 points. He leads them this year with 19 points. He's facing Utah tonight, who are allowing 3.50 goals per game.
