Alex Ovechkin More Than 0.5 Goals
This game has a ton of meaning because the winner will move into the second Wild Card spot. The Capitals looked like this current era was over as they struggled to start the season. They resurged following the All-Star break to get into contention but they have stumbled recently with just two out of a possible 12 points.
They have faced some solid goaltending in that stretch, but tonight, they face the Red Wings, who are 24th in goals allowed per game. Alex Ovechkin doesn't have a goal in the two games against Detroit. He's hot with three goals in his last two games, however, and we should see the star come through in a very important game.
David Pastrnak Less Than 1.5 Points
This will be an exciting matchup we could see later in the playoffs. Boston and Carolina are title contenders because they're so good on each side of the ice. Both are in the top 10 in goals scored per game and in the top five in goals allowed.
This should be a close game but let's lean on another exciting defensive matchup. David Pastrnak has only two points in two games, so don't expect him to double up in this one.
Nikita Kucherov More Than 1.5 Points
The Lightning are fantastic at the moment, going 10-2-1 in their last 14 games. They get a favorable matchup against the Blue Jackets, who have the fewest points in the league, but Columbus has played better recently with wins over Pittsburgh, Colorado and Philadelphia.
Nikita Kucherov is on a great run, with points in 32 out of his last 35 games, and multiple points in eight of his last 12. The Bolts can still move up in the standings, so they're still playing for something. Kucherov should have another great game.
