Tuesday’s Best NHL PrizePicks Player Predictions
The defending champs were taken to the brink against the Maple Leafs by going the full seven games. Except for that Game 6 shutout, the Panthers’ offense looked fantastic during the series by scoring three or more goals in five of the seven games. It isn't just a couple of players that are contributing; they have seven players with at least nine points, and 10 with three goals.
Brad Marchand has been an impactful pickup, and it's coming through in the playoffs, as he’s tied for the team lead with 12 points. He's scored a point in seven of their nine games, and he scored a goal in his one game against the Hurricanes this season.
While the Panthers had to work during the series, the Hurricanes ran through the first two rounds by winning both series in five games. They possess the perfect balance of speed on offense and physicality on defense, forcing their opponents to play at their best throughout the entire game.
Seth Jarvis was one of the team’s top contributors during the regular season, leading the team in goals and ranking second in points. That play has continued as he is tied with Sebastian Aho for the team lead in points during the playoffs.
Jarvis has been consistent as he's put up a point in eight out of 10 games in the playoffs. He recorded a point in two out of three games against the Panthers this year. The best part is it’s been a balance of goals and assists, and he has a helper in three of the last four games.
